In this work, the moon functions as a symbol of the feminine. The full moon represents a state in which the artist, as a woman, feels aligned with and fulfilled by her own femininity, an image of completeness.
To evoke the moon’s uneven, tactile surface, she incorporated a forgotten eyeshadow palette, using cosmetic pigment as material rather than ornament. The sky is reduced to its essential visual language and expressed as abstracted symbols.
The piece was completed on the night of a full moon, echoing the cyclical logic of its subject.
本作では、月は女性性を象徴する存在として描かれている。満月は、作家自身が一人の女性として自らの女性性と向き合い、それに満ち足りている状態——ひとつの「整ったかたち」を示している。
月の表面の凹凸や触感を表すため、彼女は使われなくなっていたアイシャドウを顔料として用いた。化粧品としての機能から切り離し、絵画の素材として再配置している。空はその要素のみを抽出し、記号化されたかたちで簡潔に表現されている。
本作は満月の夜に完成された。主題そのものがもつ循環性と時間のリズムが、制作のタイミングにも重ねられている。
